Our Past.... Their Future
At the ACSC (Association of Carolina Shag Clubs) and SOS September 24th, 2016 meeting, Ellen Taylor was presented the ‘Fellows Award’. This award is given to an individual that has contributed to the beloved dance, music and lifestyle. This is only the second award of its kind to be awarded. In honor of Ellen’s past contributions to the preservation of the shag, but for what she does for our junior shaggers, the award beautifully described a tireless ambassador for ‘our past, their future’. On hand to witness this surprise presentation was her husband, Carl and representatives of every shag club belonging to the ACSC along with Subscriber Members. Congratulations Ellen for all you do and have done for the adults as well as the juniors.
